NPR published an interesting graph explaining how EMRs have affected Doctor’s clinic days. It isn’t pretty. Technology and billing are getting in the way of seeing patients. Dr. Leora Horowitz explains, “the record systems are poorly organized and never seem to reflect the needs of doctors and nurses. There’s an enormous amount of time-consuming clicking, scrolling and typing.”
Not only are EMRs time consuming in regards to entering data, they also create lengthy documentation that physicians receive daily. While we can’t control what the EMR sends out, we can help you minimize time entering date into your EMR if you’re a physician using an EMR. Find out more about us here.
